MADISON, Wisc., June 18, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- State Collection Service, Inc., a full-service accounts receivable management solutions provider, is proud to announce its recent selection as one of insideARM's 2019 Best Places to Work in Collections. State was one of only eight large companies (150+ employees) to meet this year's selection standards.
"We could not be more thrilled about being named one of the country's Best Places to Work in Collections," said Tim Haag, President of State Collection Service. "We know that every time we earn this recognition, we must continue working hard to continue providing our employees a work environment they can be proud of. But this is a challenge we are very happy to accept!"
Haag continued, "'Fun', 'family', and 'flexibility' are the three words that our employees use again and again to describe State. We're committed to doing whatever we can to maintain that feeling for them."
State Collection Service was founded in 1949 by Hilding Haag. It remains a family-owned corporation today, with Hilding's son, Tom, serving as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and his grandson, Tim, serving as the company's President. Under their leadership, the company has grown significantly while retaining the family values that form the basis of the company's corporate culture.
"Every year, the Best Places to Work in Collections award gives us another opportunity to listen to the needs of our employees and implement many of the ideas they have," said Tracy Dudek, Chief Operating Officer. "Hilding Haag's legacy of building a company around core family values is what has allowed State to operate so successfully over the past 70 years and is what propels us forward. In 1949, he understood the fundamental importance of giving employees a voice and creating an environment that respected their needs. We are proud to continue that tradition in 2019," Dudek explained further.
The company promotes various incentive programs for staff including monthly production awards, regular recognition for exceptional customer service, monetary service awards as well as a sabbatical at 20 years of tenure, and an Annual Awards Banquet highlighting key employee accomplishments and milestones. In fact, to celebrate State's 70th anniversary this year, the company awarded one lucky employee a cruise vacation during the celebration.
insideArm's annual survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in the Credit and Collections industry. This year, 37 companies across three size categories (Small, Medium, Large) met the standard to be selected. Companies from across the U.S. entered the rigorous two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Collections. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration, survey and analysis process and determined the final rankings.
State has been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Collections annually since 2016. The company has also been named to the Inc. 5000 list of America's Fastest Growing Companies, has been named a Wisconsin Family Business of the Year winner, and has been often recognized for its use of advanced technologies including speech analytics for enhanced call performance. State continues to maintain its Peer Reviewed by HFMA designation from the country's largest association of healthcare finance professionals as well.
