AUBURN, Calif., Dec. 23, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- On 01-30-2021 in Auburn, CA At the historic site of the Great Western Race, Stephan Piscano will be running/walking a min. of 24 hours in an attempt to raise funds for small business owners impacted by government lock-downs, and other hardships brought on by the Corona Pandemic. Piscano has vowed to run/walk one hour for every $100 raised to support local small business owners. Stephan Piscano CEO of The Real Estate Networking Group has donated the 1st $1,000.
During the pandemic the small business owner has often been forgotten, or cast aside.
While many government programs, and stimulus packages have been offered to individuals, and while multi-billion dollar corporations have been bailed out, there are millions of those in the restaurant, travel, entertainment, transportation, and many other industries receiving little to no support from the government. It is up to us as charitable partners to support our fellow entrepreneurs. That is why on January 30th, 2021 in Auburn, CA Stephan Piscano will be running for small business owners. In January of 2020 Piscano competed in the "One day in Auburn" 24 hour race, and running 70.2 miles raising funds for the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
This year how long and how far he runs depends on your partnership. For every $100 raised for small business owners, Piscano will run/walk one hour around the same track as the Great Western Race. 100% of funds raised goes to small business owners that are in the restaurant, hospitality, entertainment, or transportation industry who have been impacted by government shut downs, or other impacts from the pandemic. Obviously the race is secondary to the ultimate cause, but the mileage and results will be chip timed using GPS monitoring and the results will be posted on or before 02-02-2021, also photos and stories of the small business owners who receive the funds will be posted.
"The pandemic has created many hardships, both health scares and economic stress for our Country, and the world. I have been inspired in many ways by how we have banded together during these chaotic times, but I must admit from day one I have been dismayed by the lack of care for the small business owners in our country. Now is not the proper time to make Jeff Bezos richer buying everything online, largely shipped from overseas. Now is the time to support your LOCAL, small business owners, your neighbors, if we want our favorite local businesses to be around in 2022, we need to support them RIGHT NOW in 2021, that's my opinion anyhow and this fundraiser is one additional small way I hope to be able to offer my support." Piscano said of the event.
