SACREMENTO, Calif., Sept. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Sterling Caviar, the nation's pioneer and leader in sustainable sturgeon farming and caviar production, will bring its farm-raised products to the forks of more than 800 city leaders, officials, and diners from across the Sacramento region and beyond during the highly-anticipated and now sold-out Tower Bridge Dinner in Sacramento, California on September 30.
Developed in 2013 by Visit Sacramento, the Tower Bridge Dinner is the crowning event of the city's annual Farm-to-Fork Celebration and pairs the region's top chefs with local farmers to create a one-of-a-kind dining experience atop the city's Tower Bridge, a 737-foot bridge spanning the Sacramento River.
Leading this year's team of talented chefs in creation of the dinner menu is culinary legend Jeremiah Tower. In addition to being the recipient of the James Beard Foundation's award for "Outstanding Chef in America" (1996), Tower's resume includes a leading role in the kitchen of Alice Waters' Chez Panisse as well as ownership of Stars – one of San Francisco's most iconic and top-grossing restaurants between 1984 and 1999. Amongst an impressive list of accomplishments and accolades, Tower is renowned for his tradition of utilizing regional foods in his dishes. Tower will be supported by a team of local culinary experts like Ed Roehr (Magpie), Kathi Riley Smith (The Oak Café), Ravin Patel (The Selland Group), and Brad Cecchi (Canon), among others.
Tower and team will feature Sterling's white sturgeon and white sturgeon caviar in the form of the following creation: Smoked sturgeon filet with sturgeon skin chicharron, lemon cucumber salad, and caviar and remoulade sauces. The dinner menu will also include fresh dishes with ingredients from local farm producers Full Belly Farm, Rue and Forsman Ranch, Superior Farms, and more.
"We're incredibly honored and excited to be included at such a highly-regarded event such as the annual Farm-to-Fork Tower Bridge Dinner," says Camron King, President, Sterling Caviar. "As the nation's pioneer of sustainable sturgeon farming and farmed caviar production, we couldn't ask for a more perfect opportunity than to have our products utilized by 'the pioneer of American cuisine,' Chef Jeremiah Tower, and his team."
Preceding the Tower Bridge Dinner, Sterling will have the distinct honor of presenting caviar to an intimate audience during a Meet and Greet with Jeremiah Tower. Set for 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Kimpton Sawyer Sacramento, the event will feature delicious bites from Hawks Restaurant, Golden 1 Center, and Kimpton Sawyer alongside caviar from Sterling. Tickets to the Meet and Greet with Jeremiah Tower include an autographed copy of his autobiography Start the Fire and are still available for purchase for $100 per person at http://www.farmtofork.com.
