GLEN ELLYN, Ill., July 1, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Village of Glen Ellyn will be holding its Independence Day celebration on Sunday, July 4th. After reviewing the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines and the State of Illinois' plans for reopening, the village determined that it would be able to go ahead with the planned festivities while encouraging participants to follow the recommended safety guidelines. Certain planned activities, including the Food Truck Festival, the Lake Ellyn Cardboard Regatta, and the July 4th Afternoon Festivities at Lake Ellyn Park, have been canceled for 2021, but they will hopefully make a return in the summer of 2022.
The festivities will begin with the Fourth of July parade, which will take place at noon in downtown Glen Ellyn. As a Gold-level sponsor, Stogsdill Law Firm will be featured on a banner carried by volunteers in the parade. The village's fireworks display will take place at dusk at Lake Ellyn Park, located at 645 Lenox Road. Both the parade and the fireworks show will be live-streamed online for those who do not wish to attend in person.
