StorageMart announced today their plans to develop a total of 135,000 net rentable square feet of climate controlled self storage units in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. The company currently owns and operates 3 storage locations in Lee’s Summit. Expansion plans will add nearly 1,400 climate controlled storage units available for rent to residents and local businesses in the area.
StorageMart is adding 75,000 square feet of climate controlled self storage to the facility located right off Hwy 50 & Milton Thompson Rd. While another 60,000 square feet of climate controlled self storage is under construction at the StorageMart located at the intersection of Highway 291 & 150.
The Lee’s Summit expansion is only a portion of StorageMart’s growing footprint in the Kansas City Metro area. Since 2016, The company has added 66,000 square feet of storage to the metro area, and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. Slated for delivery by 2020 are 3 additional new developments throughout Greater Kansas City, totaling approximately 146,000 net rentable square feet.

Each expansion will be state-of-the-art, including large indoor loading bays equipped to accommodate moving trucks so that customers can load and unload indoors and away from the weather. Other amenities include: video surveillance, motion-censored lighting, a fenced and gated storage property that requires unique customer PIN access, and extra wide hallways for hassle-free moving.
