Recently, an SMGH team participated in its first breast-conserving surgical procedure using MOLLI. SMGH is the first hospital in the southwest Ontario region to use this technology.
MOLLI Surgical's Health Canada-approved and FDA-cleared MOLLI features the MOLLI Marker® — the smallest localization marker on the market — and is designed to give a better patient experience over traditional wire localization. The MOLLI Wand® detects the marker and visualizes its location on a tablet, helping surgeons locate lesions more efficiently with improved accuracy. MOLLI is also a great benefit for patients as it allows for more convenient scheduling of marker placement.
