CHICAGO, Aug. 20, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Stratosphere Networks has donated to the Alliance for the Great Lakes to celebrate the nonprofit's 50th anniversary. The Alliance has asked supporters to make celebratory contributions online instead of attending the Great Blue Benefit in Chicago and the Clean Lake Benefit in Cleveland, both of which the organization has called off due to COVID-19.
The Chicago-based Alliance is dedicated to protecting the Great Lakes, and all donations will go toward their efforts to ensure access to safe and clean water for everyone in the area. The nonprofit's website includes suggestions for gifts ranging from $50 to $5,000, covering items such as Adopt-a-Beach kits, supplies and training for Alliance Ambassadors, coalition building work and more.
"Especially during these challenging times, we're happy to show support for the Alliance for the Great Lakes," said Steve Melchiorre, CEO of Stratosphere Networks. "Our team is committed to giving back to the community in any way we can, and the Alliance does vital work preserving an essential natural resource for all of us."
Stratosphere Networks focuses on delivering managed services (including co-managed IT, managed IT and managed cybersecurity services) and trusted advisor services to businesses in the Chicago area and beyond. The company empowers clients with exceptional service provided from a state-of-the-art Network Operations Center (NOC) and Security Operations Center (SOC).
For the past four consecutive years, Stratosphere sponsored the Great Blue Benefit, an annual fundraiser hosted by the Alliance. This year, because of the pandemic, the Alliance decided that it isn't safe to go forward with plans for their yearly benefit and has asked supporters to make contributions equivalent to what they would have given to the organization if they attended the event.
