WASHINGTON, April 18, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The StreetShares Foundation announces a $25,000 military veteran-owned small business pitch competition in collaboration with the National Veteran Small Business Coalition (NVSBC). Generous support for this competition is provided by Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream Program, which provides access to the sought-after capital, coaching and networking that small businesses need to succeed..
The competition will take place at the 9th Annual Veteran Entrepreneur Training Symposium (VETS19) at the San Antonio Rivercenter Marriott in Downtown San Antonio, Texas, May 29 – 31, 2019. VETS'19 provides an opportunity and a forum for military community entrepreneurs to connect, hone their skills and harness the most effective strategies to grow their small business.
"Studies tell us that military community entrepreneurs need access to capital and business education," said Mark L. Rockefeller, Chairman of the StreetShares Foundation. "Holding this competition at the VETS19 event allows us to address both these needs at the same time."

Applications are being accepted now at StreetShares.com/Foundation. The public will vote to determine the top three finalists. Finalists will pitch live in San Antonio in front of an audience of veteran entrepreneurs. Audience vote will determine first, second, and third-place awards. Former winners of StreetShares Foundation military business grants have impacted the military community in areas such as health care, children and families, unemployment, waste management and education.
