The sound of their heralded hardware reverb processor is coming to a DAW near you
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., Oct.18, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Strymon Engineering ([http://www.strymon.net), the revered manufacturer of products for the guitar and Eurorack markets, today announced the release of the new BigSky plugin - a software recreation of their best-selling BigSky hardware reverb. The plugin features 12 custom reverb algorithms, with traditional physical spaces like rooms and halls joining unique filtered and pitched ambient machines. With Infinite hold/Freeze functionality, jaw-dropping sound quality, and industry-leading flexibility, the new BigSky plugin offers DAW users a powerful new tool for creating ambient textures.
"We've talked about creating a plugin version of BigSky for a number of years now, and it finally felt like the time was right", said Gregg Stock, Strymon co-founder, and CEO. "Writing the original BigSky algorithms in C really paid off because we could port the code directly, ensuring that the plugin sounds the same as the hardware". Sean Halley, Head of Marketing at Strymon adds, "it's really exciting - now you can have as many instances of BigSky in your session as you'd like, allowing you to transform multiple instruments in all sorts of new and creative ways. It's super-flexible while remaining really easy to use, and I've been digging the sound of everything I've run through it."
The new BigSky plugin comes in AAX, AU, and VST3 formats, and is available directly from Strymon and at select retailers worldwide, for $199 US.
