Successful Live Auction Sales In The Shadow Of Covid-19

YARMOUTH, Mass., July 10, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Building on a proven track record of goal surpassing sales and clockwork closings in all market conditions, JJManning Auctioneers is pleased to announce a robust first half of the year marked by a diversity of sellers, property types, and adaptive protocols including:

March 7, 2020, 5 bidders each with a $250,000 deposit in hand vied to own 33 Bay St., Westerly, RI -- a Watch Hill oceanfront estate a few doors down from music icon, Taylor Swift's, summer retreat. The property features a 6,417+/- sf. main house, guest house, pool, tennis court, golf practice area, and deep-water access dock. Generating interest from as far away as FL and WI, the estate sold for $10,403,000 per order of the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of CT. And, despite challenges presented by the RI Disaster Emergency Order Declaration enacted 2 days later, successfully closed in April.

May 11, 2020, 11 bidders wearing masks and standing at cones 6 feet apart, bid against each other to buy 160-170 Pawtucket Blvd., Tyngsboro, MA. The buyer at this Mortgagee's Foreclosure Auction paid $3,000,000 inclusive of municipal liens for the 10+/- acre site on Rt. 113 featuring a 30-room hotel, spa, and restaurant/function facility. The property drew interest from across the U.S. and into Canada including those in the lodging, restaurant, development, investment, property mgt., and congregate living arenas with a buyer from the hospitality industry.

May 20, 2020, 11 bidders participated in an absolute auction held on-site under social distancing protocols on behalf of the ownership of the approved 26-lot residential subdivision on 85+/- acres known as "Cranberry Woods" off Walnut St. in Middleboro, MA. A local developer purchased the property for $1,155,000 with the buyer responsible for all infrastructure and utilities.

During these difficult times, auction allows for a quick and powerful exit strategy. JJManning Auctioneers is accepting consignments of all types of real property for auction. Visit JJManning.com or call 800-521-0111 for further information.
