Washington Nationals Corn Maze Revealed
FREDERICK, Md., Oct. 01, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Summers Farm is proud to announce its partnership with the Washington Nationals on its widely popular and much anticipated corn maze for the 22nd season of its Fall Festival. For years, the Summers Farm Corn Maze has been a staple of its Fall Festival and the Frederick community – garnering local and national attention.

Each year, Summers Farm, a successful multi-generational family owned and operated farm, selects a partner to feature in a 12 acre corn maze. This year's corn maze pays tribute to the team that has helped the nation's capital become a bonafied sports town. Recently hosting Major League Baseball's All-Star Game and the Home Run Derby, it's hard to believe Nationals Park opened just ten years ago! With star players such as Bryce Harper, Stephen Strasburg and Ryan Zimmerman, the Washington Nationals have cemented their place in baseball history and fans' hearts.
This year's festival, which opened on September 22nd and runs through October 31st, offers a genuine, old-fashioned wagon ride to the pick-your-own pumpkin patch, more than 45 activities including slides, farmer golf, gigantic-sized jumping pillows, and farm animals. On weekends, the festival includes apple-blasting, pig races, and mouth-watering confections including homemade cookies, brick oven pizza and apple cider donuts. You can finish off your day at the Farm by renting a campfire and watching our spectacular fireworks display!
In addition to the many weekend activities, Summers Farm collaborates with area schools to provide agricultural education to today's youth. Each year, more than 10,000 students visit the farm to learn the value of agriculture and the difference farmers make in our community.
The Summers Farm Fall Festival grew out of Teresa Summers' humble dream that the festival would provide visitors with an opportunity to connect back to nature, create memories and enjoy the beauty of a real working farm.
This fall, maze-goers will have to rely on "Nationals-made" clues interspersed throughout the maze to find their way out of the cornstalk labyrinth. When night falls, the farm takes on an entirely different look by moonlight. Flashlights are a must for "Nights on the Farm," even though strategically-placed lights help along the way.
