Sun Mar Healthcare's affiliated nursing school, EduTrack School of Nursing, beats the California nursing shortage with the largest graduating class ever of its free CNA training program.
BREA, Calif., Aug. 18, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Sun Mar Healthcare's affiliated nursing school, EduTrack School of Nursing, is celebrating the largest graduating class ever of its free CNA training program. The 82 graduates joined another 30 recent graduates in receiving a guaranteed offer of employment at any of Sun Mar's 42 healthcare facilities.
As one of the only healthcare companies in California with an independently owned nursing school, Sun Mar Healthcare is taking impressive actions to solve California's nursing shortage. Its EduTrack program is accredited by statewide healthcare organizations, and Sun Mar receives no reimbursement from the government for offering its CNA training program for free.

Though Sun Mar's EduTrack program aims to solve healthcare staffing shortages in its facilities and community, the program is also intended to help individuals who are impoverished or lack a formal education create fulfilling lives and careers. By providing free training and job placement, Sun Mar is helping students from a variety of backgrounds make valuable changes in their lives.
"What we've learned here is not just how to take care of someone, but the skills to know how to enrich the quality of life for those that are in our care," said Roger Morales, a recent EduTrack graduate and valedictorian. "I take with that a great responsibility on what that relationship entails to them first and foremost."
In just a few weeks, Edutrack School of Nursing will have expanded from two affiliated locations to nine, each offering day and evening courses in Santa Ana, San Gabriel, North Hollywood, Los Angeles, Riverside, Brea, San Diego, Pomona and La Mirada. In two years, Sun Mar Healthcare plans to expand EduTrack into a full-scale nursing school, including CNA, LVN and RN programs. Sun Mar Healthcare has also recently acquired 10 new nursing facilities and looks forward to assisting these new communities through its Edutrack School of Nursing graduates.
