Sun Shines On Solar Powered ICP Networks

Officially unveiling the £1 million global headquarters, MP David Rutley immediately heralded their move as a shining example to other UK businesses.

Having outgrown their former base in Wilmslow, ICP Networks have created a purpose built 16,500 sq. ft unit in nearby Poynton, in Cheshire.
The new HQ is effectively carbon neutral thanks to one of the largest installation of solar panels in the North West.
The 50kWp roof-mounted solar panel system provides twice the energy currently required by the firm and allows the surplus to be sold back to the National Grid.
In addition, walls have been double insulated and new light sensors have been installed, saving 90% of the energy used previously.

"We are able to do the right thing in that the solar panels system for example will save 22 tonnes of Co2 a year, the equivalent to 76,127 air miles. Yet the additional energy also generates an additional income proving that saving the environment also makes for very good business in the long term," added Mr Archer.
“I’m so proud of our three inverters, which generate 17,000 watts each, and of the solar panelled system in general that I’ve positioned my desk right next to it, so I can literally watch the sun produce all of the energy we need!”
The move marks the beginning of an exciting new decade for ICP Networks as they seek to expand their share of a global market that is itself expanding at a rapid rate.
