Suntuity AirWorks (https://suntuityairworks.com), the drone and UAV services division of the Suntuity Group of companies, today announced its plans to conduct multiple Public Safety demonstrations in South Florida early this Spring. The demos are in response to a multitude of requests made by various Police, Fire and SRS Divisions across various Florida townships. Suntuity Airworks was recently awarded an RFP to deliver drones and services in 54 townships and counties across South Florida. The initial demo, scheduled for March 31st, will be conducted at the Hialeah Fire Department’s Training facility in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The second planned demo will take place on April 1st and will be hosted by the Palm Springs Police Department. Additional demo dates are being scheduled on an ongoing basis.
“It is important for public safety staff like firefighters and law enforcement to know what new technology is available to help improve safety and efficiency of their mission, while they work hard to ensure the safety of fellow residents,” said Suntuity AirWorks Director of Operations, Gordon Dowrey. “Not only are the products easy to use and low risk, but drones also improve efficiency across a multitude of verticals. It’s literally making everyone safer and more efficient.”
Attendees can experience the latest drone technology first-hand with on-site UAS flight demos. The live demonstrations include the use of UAVs to improve efficiencies for the following safety hazards:
- Search and Rescue – (Visual/IR for land SAR & water SAR)
- Situational Awareness – Analyze Active Incident (Visual/IR - Structure fires, brush fires)
- Forensic Investigations (Post-Fire Documentation & Investigation)
- Hazardous Materials Emergency (Standoff Recon of Response Hot Zones - Visual/IR)
Law enforcement can also utilize drones for active shooter and suspect pursuit, surveillance and crowd monitoring, forensic investigations like crime scenes and accident scene analysis, and bomb squad response. Key topics and learning objectives of each demo will include disaster preparedness, response, and recovering strategies using drones and UAS technology.
