If someone tests positive for COVID-19, the CDC recommends CONTACT TRACING to track their physical interactions with others to help determine who else may have been in close contact so they can take necessary precautions. This process prevents further transmission of disease by separating people who have (or may have) an infectious disease from people who do not.
