RADNOR, Pa., Dec. 9, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Surgent Exam Review and Surgent CPA Review today announced the selection of the recipients of both the Surgent CPA Review College Scholarship and the Surgent Exam Review College Scholarship.
The two businesses offer annual scholarships to college students working towards an accounting major and currently attending an accredited college or university within the U.S. This year's recipients are currently enrolled at Marshall University, West Chester University, Lone Star College and the University of Kansas.
Through a competitive and rigorous application process, applicants are selected based upon merit and a thought-provoking, personal essay focused on the accounting industry. These applications are then reviewed by a judging committee comprised of Surgent staff and advisors.
In addition to monetary scholarships, Surgent also offers a course scholarship program, giving away hundreds of exam prep courses throughout the year to qualified candidates from various firms, universities, and professional organizations who are working to obtain credentials like CPA. The value of these course scholarships totals nearly $400,000.

Applications are accepted beginning in May of each year from students currently pursuing accounting at an accredited college or university within the U.S. with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
