Surging Growth at Yellow Flag Productions Leads to Staff Additions and Promotion
Southfield, MI (PRWEB) June 23, 2016 -- Yellow Flag Productions, the Emmy-winning Southfield-based production company responsible for the long-running favorite “State Champs! High School Sports Show” and other popular programs, has announced the addition of two staff members and one promotion within the management team.
Ryan Terpstra, who began working with Yellow Flag Productions as a freelancer in 2014, has been named Executive Producer, Production Services. Terpstra manages four different programs for Yellow Flag Productions, in addition to serving as on-air talent for “Pure Brews,” “State Champs,” and other shows. Terpstra has worked in various radio markets, including co-hosting a successful afternoon sports talk show that was simulcast in Grand Rapids and Detroit. He worked in West Michigan television for 9 years, reporting, hosting, and providing color commentary for the internationally broadcast Calvin and Hope men’s basketball game.
Denver Rochon has joined Yellow Flag Productions as Creative Director. Over a 20-year filmmaking career, Rochon has worked as a director, writer, producer, editor and cinematographer. He created award-winning short and feature films, music videos, commercials and authorized documentaries about Kid Rock, James Dean and Peanuts creator Charles Schulz. Since 2014 he has produced and directed the web-series and podcast Comics, Beer and Sci-fi. Most recently he was nominated for three Michigan Emmy Awards for his work on the television series “Pure Brews America.” A graduate of the University of Michigan, Rochon also worked on the “Extra Point HS Football Show” on WXYZ, “RoboZone” and “Detroit Charity Winter Classic on Fox Sports Detroit,” each of which is produced by Yellow Flag Productions.
Amanda Bitonti has also joined Yellow Flag Productions as Producer. She will oversee documentary/special projects working closely with directors, editors, talent, and other production staff. Other responsibilities will include conducting interviews and writing scripts. Most recently, Bitonti was a Senior Digital Media Planner at Universal McCann in Detroit, Mich., where she managed and implemented digital media strategies on a number of campaigns for Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep, And FIAT brands. Bitonti earned her Bachelor of Arts & Sciences degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
