Virginia Beach, VA (PRWEB) October 10, 2016 -- As the United States is locked in an ongoing immigration debate, Richard Cheng documents how he overcame personal struggles and achieved success in his autobiography “A Professor and CEO True Story.”
Cheng’s life story spans over four volumes, reaching a plateau when his small business is awarded a $240 million government contract.
Volume one details his early childhood in mainland China and the Japanese occupation during World War II. Later, his family flees as a result of the communist revolution and relocates to Taiwan.
Volume two covers the remainder of Cheng’s childhood in Taiwan, including his struggle to do better in school and his military service.
In volume three, Cheng travels to the United States for graduate school. Despite being in a foreign land and unfamiliar with the language, Cheng thrives as a professor and later becomes a successful businessman.
Volume four addresses even more of Cheng’s personal struggles. These include the deaths of family members and coping with physical illness. Ultimately, Cheng’s hard work and tenacity bring him a level of success that would not have been possible anywhere else.
“A Professor and CEO True Story” serves as a shining example of how a person can overcome struggles throughout life and that the American dream is truly possible.
