Recent Nielsen data reports that data from grocery registers throughout the United States show that Swaggerty’s Breakfast Sausage brand is the fastest growing sausage brand in America by pounds, units, and dollars spent—an increase of 46.2%, 48.6%, and 40.7% respectively.
This growth can certainly be attributed, at least in part, to the increase in total distribution points throughout the country, from 47.3 to 61.7 for a 30% increase over the course of just over three months. Distribution points can be defined as a combination of coverage and items carried. However, while Swaggerty’s increased the average number of items carried at stores from 2.3 to 2.6, nearly every other national brand posted declined in items carried.
