Meet Maestro, SwimTopia’s unique and modern online swim meet software, is now available free of charge through the end of the year.

Traditional swim meets, which often comprise hundreds of swimmers on the pool deck at once, are unfortunately not possible in the current global environment. Swimmers and swim teams have been particularly hard-hit by the coronavirus, with training and competition venues closed, or access limited. As local municipalities have eased regulations and established safe guidelines for gatherings, swim teams have been eager to get back into the pool. Fortunately, the swim community has come up with creative solutions to allow their athletes to compete – virtual swim meets.

Swim teams have found virtual swim meets to be the safest solution for getting their swimmers racing again. Virtual meets—where each team swims in their home pool—allow swimmers to safely enjoy racing against another team while practicing physical distancing. SwimTopia’s Meet Maestro meet software offers swim teams an opportunity to run easy and fun virtual swim meets. Meet Maestro has been used by teams around the world to run hundreds of virtual swim meets this summer and thousands of meets since 2018.

With Meet Maestro, teams swimming their meets at the same time can enjoy a true live meet experience, as the software combines results and tallies the scores for each individual or relay event as soon as the data from each pool is entered. Participants receive live meet updates with SwimTopia’s mobile app, creating an exciting virtual meet experience not possible with any other software.

With limited options for practice and competition, 2020 has been a brutal year for swim teams. To help swim teams return safely to the water, SwimTopia is making Meet Maestro available free of charge through the end of 2020. Starting January 2021, the base price for Meet Maestro will be $150 per team, per year.

Meet Maestro features a streamlined and modern user interface that saves time and all but eliminates the need for training. Born out of decades of experience and frustration working with existing meet management software, Meet Maestro was created first and foremost to be intuitive. The result is meet software that is both easy to learn and a joy to use. Swim teams who are accustomed to running meets on outdated and difficult meet software are stunned by the contrast after they’ve tried Meet Maestro. “We have been using Meet Maestro to run our summer swim meets and have found the system to be truly intuitive. Our volunteers just sit down and get right to work with minimal direction from me” says Heather Urgon, meet coordinator for the Copperfield Dolphins in Houston.

On July 27, swimming’s national governing body, USA Swimming, launched a new initiative to support virtual swim meets. With this initiative, USA Swimming is encouraging teams to run virtual meets to promote a sense of healthy competition and keep swimmers motivated through these difficult times. Meet Maestro’s ease-of-use and affordability make it the perfect solution to quickly and easily set up a swim meet and capture times from any pool deck.
