SAN DIEGO, Feb. 27, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Swinerton is thrilled to announce two major personnel moves in its San Diego office. Jason Chappell has been promoted to Project Executive and Simon Pollard has joined the Swinerton team as Design-Build Manager.
After earning his degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Colorado, Chappell joined Swinerton in 2002. Since then, he has risen through the ranks after successfully completing difficult projects in a wide range of markets. He is well-respected by owners, architects, subcontractors, and Swinerton teammates, and takes pride in delivering his projects on time and on budget.
"Throughout Jason's 17 years at Swinerton, he has done a tremendous job taking the lead with several key clients, and leading his project teams to extremely successful outcomes," said Mike Berryhill, Operations Manager for Swinerton San Diego. "His willingness to help others is first rate, and we are very proud of Jason's diligence, passion, and integrity." Jason's key projects include The Watermark II, Hotel Del Coronado Master Plan, and Moxy Hotel in San Diego, and the Chevron Midland Campus in Midland, Texas.
Simon's diverse experience ranging from architectural design production to managing the design teams on $100M+ projects has given him a well-rounded balance of creativity, personnel management, planning abilities, proactivity and accountability. His approach to design and management has contributed to successes realized through profitability of projects, outstanding evaluations from customers, and long-term relationships with consultants and subcontractors.
"Throughout my 14 years of knowing Simon I have always been impressed with his ability to understand complex projects on many different levels and from various perspectives of design, construction and development," said B. Moon Hajjar, Preconstruction Services Manager and Project Executive. "This has afforded him the ability to work in many different facets of the Design-Build Delivery method. The San Diego Division is grateful to have Simon on board."
Some of Simon's key projects include Aperture in San Diego, Shea Vantis in Aliso Viejo, the F-35 Squadron Facility at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, and a variety of projects at US Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command at Camp Pendleton.
