KIRKLAND, Wash. (PRWEB) September 18, 2018 -- SwitchUp, a leading authority on technology bootcamps, has released their fourth annual, data-based rankings of the best bootcamps in coding, data science, cyber security, and web design, as well as the best online programs. SwitchUp has been helping students launch their technology careers by providing information on quality bootcamps since 2014.
The best bootcamp rankings are based on nearly 10,000 student and alumni reviews, which include ratings of curriculum, job support, and overall experience. Bootcamps are awarded scores based on ratings and overall number of reviews.
In order to help students find the best bootcamp, SwitchUp has also awarded merit badges for standout features. The four merit badges that schools can earn are:
- Available Online - The school offers online classes.
- Verified Outcomes - The school publishes a third-party verified job outcomes report.
- Flexible Classes - The school offers part-time or evening classes.
- Job Guarantee - The school has guaranteed job placement after graduation.
"Our goal was to not only publish rankings based on thousands of alumni reviews, but to also highlight factors that are very important to students. To achieve this, we asked our community members what was most important to them when choosing a bootcamp,” said SwitchUp Program Manager, Mary Bergeron.
SwitchUp is constantly working to better understand technology bootcamp students. They recently surveyed over 1,500 bootcamp graduates. The research revealed that the average salary increase for bootcamp graduates is $19,485. Additionally, 80.9% of respondents reported landing a job after graduation. A full Coding Bootcamp Growth and Trends report will be released later this month.
SwitchUp is also recognizing the best-ranked bootcamps in top tech cities around the world, such as San Francisco, New York City, London, and Barcelona.
