System Innovators' 20-year client, the City of Baltimore, MD, Selects iNovah Enterprise Revenue Management Solution

The Department of Finance, Bureau of Revenue Collections processes nearly 400,000 transactions annually at their in-person cashiering stations, and handles large volumes of payments online and through mail. The Bureau of Revenue Collections currently serves customers through 10 cashiering walk-up stations, accepting over 100 unique payment types, including: Metered Water, Tax, License Fees, Permits, and Parking Fines. The iNovah Enterprise Revenue Management solution will integrate all revenue collection and management through one centralized hub, enabling the City to manage their large payment volumes with accuracy and ease.

As a client since 1999, the City of Baltimore's partnership with System Innovators began through SI's legacy Cashier for Windows solution. This system proved highly reliable for the organization, having largely met or exceeded the City's operational goals. However, the City recognized that the hardware and software had exceeded its recommended useful life, which prompted them to seek an innovative new solution. The City sought to create better efficiencies in their revenue management processes, as well as take advantage of newer technologies and more modern security features.

Through the use of iNovah, the City of Baltimore will streamline their payment collection processes and improve their overall revenue control. With integrations to their Tax, Utilities, Parking, and Financials systems, the City will gain the ability to access payment balances and post updated payment details in real-time. The City's Lockbox payments will also be imported into iNovah, reducing manual effort and the time required to update systems of record. Additionally, the City will benefit from improved reconciliation processes and the use of a scanned check interface, which will allow checks to be electronically deposited to the bank. City of Baltimore customers will see an improved customer experience with iNovah, including the ability to pay with secure chip-card payments.
