Lipsky, Jr. will be joining the Global Antitrust Institute (GAI) at the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University. Lipsky will serve as Director of GAI's Competition Advocacy Program. The addition of Lipsky, who is internationally recognized for his work in global antitrust law and competition policy, will strengthen GAI's Competition Advocacy Program and deepen GAI's expertise in international and domestic competition policy. Joshua Wright, GAI Executive Director, stated, "Tad is an intellectual giant in antitrust law. He adds serious intellectual horsepower to our team, not to mention firsthand practical knowledge drawn from leadership positions within both US agencies and decades of experience in private practice at Latham & Watkins and in house at Coca-Cola.”
Judge Douglas H. Ginsburg, Chairman of the GAI’s International Advisory Board, said about Lipsky, “His deep understanding of economics, antitrust institutions, and the international antitrust landscape make Tad a perfect fit for our team. I could not be more excited to have Tad join the GAI.”
The GAI was created to promote the application of sound economic analysis to competition enforcement around the world through economic education programs, competition advocacy, and research. In addition to Wright, Ginsburg, and Lipsky, the GAI leadership team includes Professors John M. Yun and Bruce H. Kobayashi.
