Talent Scouting App Scenebot Debuts on Entertainment Scene
Westlake Village, CA (PRWEB) November 07, 2016 -- Scenebot officially launched today as the first and only free digital entertainment industry platform that allows actors to showcase their skills for agents, managers and casting directors looking for talent. Started by entertainment industry insiders and husband and wife team Stuart Alexander and Krisha Bullock, the app and the site serve as a virtual stage for actors to audition from anywhere in the world for the leading entertainment pros. Their aim was to create a free and safe platform that demystifies the casting process and levels the playing field for actors not based in an entertainment hub.
The site and the app soft launched in July 2016 and in just three short months, the app has nearly 10,000 actors on the Scenebot roster and signed on 75 plus entertainment industry pros from Los Angeles, New York, and around the world. The Scenebot global target demo is all actors 5 years-old and up.
You can download the Scenebot app today on the App Store or Google Play.
“We wanted to find a way to make the casting process interactive and transparent using available technology,” said Stuart Alexander, Scenebot’s CEO. “Creating a safe, fun, and easy-to-use platform for both aspiring and established actors to be seen by the leading industry decision makers is the end goal.”
This week, Scenebot will be co-sponsoring the Heller Awards in Los Angeles, where the team will unveil a new feature for the app called Scenebot Selects, where entertainment industry professionals can have mobile access to the entire catalog of actor profiles and audition videos.
Scenebot operates as an acting showcase, where young actors can submit one audition per month to be reviewed by Scenebot’s staff of casting professionals. The top-rated monthly auditions are posted to the website and app for all members to view and "like" their favorites. If industry professionals are interested in a particular actor, they have the ability to contact the actor or the actor’s parents through their profile. All Scenebot’s agents, managers and casting directors are fully vetted and the site and app are both COPPA compliant.
“While Scenebot believes there is great value in classes, and proper training, we also believe that no one should pay to be seen or audition,” says Alexander. “Therefore, the basic functionality of Scenebot will always be free”.
Users do have an option for a paid upgrade to a pro subscription for approximately $1/month which includes added features like extra scripts and the ability to ask the experts questions.
Scenebot aims to democratize the scouting and casting process for the entertainment industry by providing a digital platform for actors to showcase their talents and agents, managers and casting directors to discover new talent. As entertainment industry vets, Krisha Bullock, a leading casting director and Stuart Alexander, a child actor turned writer/director, recognized the need for the convergence of entertainment and technology to make the casting process more transparent and enable actors from anywhere in the world to have a shot at being ‘scene.’ Learn more at scenebot.com.
