Men’s designer dress sock brand to donate a pair of socks for every pair purchased today

"We appreciate the message that Giving Tuesday spreads, and encourage everyone to think of others all year round.” - Dan Friedman, co-CEO

In the spirit of giving back, Tall Order, a family-owned and operated men’s designer dress sock company, has announced an additional initiative special to Giving Tuesday.

For every pair of socks purchased today on its website, Tall Order will donate a pair of socks to a person in need through its partnership with Tuesday’s Children, a non-profit that supports families affected by terrorism and traumatic loss. Tuesday’s Children was formed in the aftermath of the September 11th tragedies.

Tall Order was founded in 2017 by twins Mike and Dan Friedman—two of Tuesday’s Children’s kids—to honor their father, Andrew Friedman, who was killed in the World Trade Center attacks. Mike and Dan (both over 6’9” and often referred to as the “Twin Towers” growing up) were 11 at the time of the heartbreaking event, but took to the streets of NYC to hand out essentials to first responders at Ground Zero—namely socks.

“My brother and I received an outpouring of support from Tuesday’s Children, friends and family, and our community following 9/11,” said Dan Friedman, co-CEO of Tall Order. “That experience, coupled with our father’s dedication to helping others, instilled in us the importance of giving back. We appreciate the message that Giving Tuesday spreads, and encourage everyone to think of others all year round.”

Since its inception, Tall Order has donated 10% of its profits to Tuesday’s Children and given back to other reputable organizations, including the American Kidney Fund and those that support military families of fallen heroes. Tall Order donated $20,000 to Tuesday’s Children in its first year as a company.

“We’ve been very lucky to build a business that supports causes close to our heart, while still fulfilling an everyday need,” added Mike Friedman, Tall Order co-CEO. “As tall guys, we often had trouble finding stylish dress socks that also fit well. That’s why Tall Order uses superior engineering to make fun, quality socks that are comfortable and durable for all feet sizes 9-20.”

Tall Order’s two collections—The Bim and The Gold Coast—showcase socks that are each designed and named after a close friend of the late Andrew Friedman.
