To compile a list of top law firms in the US, ALM partnered with Martindale-Hubbell. Martindale-Hubbell researched its database of over 1 million lawyers and firms in over 160 countries and identified US law firms of 10 or more attorneys, where at least 33 percent of the law firm’s lawyers have achieved the AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating, which indicates the attorney has demonstrated the highest level of ethical standards and legal ability. Firms featured on the annual list may vary in practice but all share the distinction of being staffed with attorneys of the highest caliber.
