The grand opening will feature live music from 5 PM until 10 PM by David Moore Productions, a raffle for prizes including a 55-inch television given away at 8:30 PM*, and 10% off all food. At this restaurant committed to serving fresh-catch seafood, patrons can start with their wicked edamame, juicy calamari strips, or maybe try out their gumbo bar** or oyster bar** before cracking open one of their six famous seafood sacks! The seafood sacks are offered in three sizing groups - 'Mine,' 'Buddies,' and 'Party' - so no matter how many are in your group, no one will leave hungry. With a large selection of broiled seafood, wings, a 'fried corner,' 'shareables,' and decadent desserts, like chef's own bread pudding with bourbon sauce, The Crab Station has something for everyone. They even have non-seafood options! Family owned and operated, The Crab Station's head chef, Martin Đoàn, had humble beginnings and inspiration for his business. His parents were the first of their family to immigrate to the United States. Eager to provide for their large 8-member family, 60 to 80-hour work weeks became their norm and as such, cooking responsibilities fell on shoulders of the eldest children, mainly chef Đoàn. Cooking became more of a moment to nourish and share time with loved ones, instead of a chore as chef Đoàn explored different flavors, ingredients, and cultural influences. When chef's wife became pregnant and crawfish and crab leg cravings kicked in, the cooking became seafood-centric. After a seafood enthusiast and fan of chef's food tried out his new creations, he was inspired to start a new business with chef Đoàn.
