NEW YORK, Jan. 22, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In celebration of the release of his debut album, My Father Before Me, NYC singer-songwriter Taylor Bloom will host a behind-the-scenes livestream featuring stories and interviews with the musicians featured on the recording. An introspective and heartwarming collection of songs, My Father Before Me was produced through a collaborative virtual process and achieves an organic, textural quality that belies the fact that it was created in the world of COVID restrictions. Interested listeners can register ahead of time and join the livestream on January 22nd by going to https://www.crowdcast.io/e/myfatherbeforeme. This event is free.
Featuring thirteen songs of poignant and memorable roots-inspired pop, written and sung by Taylor Bloom, My Father Before Me is the solo debut of this 25 year old native Virginian NYC-based artist. Growing up immersed in the earnest musicality of Appalachia, Taylor's music career was catalyzed by his recurring appearances playing the part of Paul Simon in the touring production The Simon & Garfunkel Story. This experience rekindled his connection to the music of his childhood, and in particular the American songwriting tradition embodied by figures like Paul Simon, James Taylor, Dan Fogelberg, and Jackson Browne.
Showcasing a tremendous backing band of San Diego based musicians, and jointly produced with Joshua Lee Turner and Allan Detsky, My Father Before Me represents a revival of the singer-songwriter tradition poised to greet a COVID-fatigued listenership that is craving the comfort of the familiar, fused with fresh and relatable stories.
