TCCI 850V electric compressor is a critical component in new battery electric trucks, providing the longest life and fastest charging in the industry
DECATUR, Ill., Sept. 12, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- TCCI Manufacturing, a world leader in compressor technology for commercial vehicle, automotive and same-day delivery vehicles, will feature the first 850V electric compressor available to the commercial vehicle and transport market at IAA 2022 in Hanover, Germany. The 850V compressor, available in 34cc/46cc/60cc/120cc provides optimal cabin and battery cooling for commercial battery electric vehicles (BEV).
TCCI's 850V electric compressor is a critical component on today's battery electric truck, which impacts charging speed and provides perfect cabin climate and optimal battery operating temperature.

Earlier this month, TCCI received the state of Illinois' first Reimagining Electric Vehicle ("REV Illinois") Tax Incentive package along with an additional $21.3MM public-private partnership grant to accelerate electrification by expanding electric compressor manufacturing, research, and workforce development initiatives.
As part of this, TCCI will develop a Climatic Center to support technology advancements for high voltage systems, battery cooling and both A/C and heat pump capabilities. The Center will also include a DC fast charger for electric vehicle testing inside the chamber and will be available for outside industry and researchers around the world.
TCCI has been working with companies throughout the design and development phase to pave the road to sustainable transport and those vehicles will soon be deploying on roads all over the world. Their compressors are designed for up to 45,000 hours of life, almost twice the life of our competition. With the largest range of capacity this allows OEMS to optimize their systems to achieve the lowest charging times in the industry. The 850v range of compressors is designed to run at 8500 RPM; allowing them to be more reliable, lighter weight and the most cost effective compressor solution available.
Also being unveiled at the IAA show in September is TCCI's 120cc/850V compressor, putting out 29 kw which is twice its closest competitor. This compressor eliminates the need to run several compressors in parallel for large cabin or battery systems improving quality and efficiency of the refrigerant - oil loop.
In addition to the higher voltage models, TCCI also has the 15cc/24V, 24cc/24V. The new 24V products are designed primarily to cool the interior of a cabin when a vehicle's engine is turned off. This is a feature especially important in the European market where regulations do not allow truck engines to run overnight.
Other products to be featured at IAA 2022 include Swash Plate compressors with the first patented piston technology designed specifically for the refrigeration industry. TCCI is highlighting the enhanced QP21, with advanced technology for durability of refrigeration vehicles. Additional products include the QP25, QPS 65, and 10S.
