CHICAGO, Oct. 25, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The food drive takes place on Saturday, November 2, from 8 a.m. to noon at Dream Town Realty, 7280 W Devon Ave., Chicago, IL. "Our goal is to collect 2,000 pounds (1 ton) of food in 4 hours," said Craig Fallico, founder of Team Fallico. "Drop by and drop off any non-perishable foods you can spare to make the holiday a little more special this year for people in need. The Team will have some coffee and donuts just in case you skip breakfast to make the run."
The Team will be loading the truck of Pat Burke, a member of Team Fallico, with food to benefit the Maine Township Food Pantry and St. Paul of the Cross Food Pantry, which serve the Northwest Side, Park Ridge and more. "The food banks often run out of food, especially around the holidays, so we thought we'd get a jump on it a few weeks before Thanksgiving," noted Fallico, who also sponsors a local woman who makes lunches for the homeless weekly.
Maine Township Food Pantry provides food on an emergency basis to persons living in the greater Maine Township area. It supplies 150 boxes of food every month, which go towards feeding over 300 individuals. St. Paul of the Cross Food Pantry serves 75-90 area households in need each month.
