COLUMBUS, Ohio, Feb. 13, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Team Fleisher Communications is proud to announce that Liz Lane, veteran media professional, has joined its staff. Lane has worked in television across Ohio for more than three decades, reporting, producing, and managing daily news coverage. Over the expanse of her 30-year television career, she has earned five Emmys, numerous Associated Press awards, and three regional Edward R. Murrow Awards.
"I was fortunate to first work with Liz at WBNS-TV in Columbus when I was a reporter there," said Marcy Fleisher, founder of Team Fleisher Communications. "It was early in our careers, but even then, I was impressed by Liz's knowledge, understanding and ability to make things happen. I've been waiting to bring Liz on for a long time in order to share that unique skill set with our clients."
For the past seven years, Lane has worked through the ranks at WSYX ABC/FOX 28 News in Columbus. Most recently, she was the station's Executive Producer in charge of Special Projects. In that role, Lane produced numerous Town Halls that aired statewide and nationally, managed both stations' election coverage, and worked closely with the Investigative Unit. Prior to her years at WSYX/FOX, Lane served as Managing Editor at WCMH NBC4 News in Columbus, where she supervised the production and performance of reporters, producers, anchors and editors for five hours of daily news coverage.
"As a TV professional for more than three decades, I've seen every facet of the communications business. I know how the media works, what it takes to secure impactful coverage, and the elements necessary for compelling storytelling," explained Lane. "I'm excited to bring this experience to Team Fleisher, and to work with our clients to secure exceptional earned media and exceed their expectations."
Lane will be working closely with all of Team Fleisher's clients, securing earned media, creating strategy and conducting crisis communication training. In addition, she will help build the firm's development department and work closely with the established partnerships Team Fleisher has cultivated with various production companies, social media experts, designers, and content creators.
Hannah Laubach has also joined Team Fleisher as an associate. Laubach is expected to graduate from The Ohio State University in May 2019. For the past year, she has worked as the social media and community manager of Six-Word Memoirs, a community that celebrates the joy of storytelling with a focus on personal narrative. In that position, Laubach managed the organization's Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts, communicating daily with more than 30,000 combined followers. Laubach brings the skills and expertise developed in that role to her position at Team Fleisher.
"It isn't often that we bring on someone that doesn't yet have decades of experience," said Fleisher, "But Hannah is the exception. She's just that good, and we are excited to offer our clients the fresh perspective, creativity and innovation she brings to social media strategies and campaigns, and PR initiatives overall."
