FREDERICK, Md., April 21, 2023 techfrederick, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the growth of the technology industry in Frederick County, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Meghan Sweigart as its new Executive Director. Sweigart brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, and community outreach to her role at techfrederick.
"We are excited to have Meghan join the techfrederick team," said Nick Damoulakis, Board President of techfrederick. "Her proven track record of building relationships and securing financial support for nonprofit organizations will be invaluable in advancing our mission to foster a thriving tech community in Frederick County."
Sweigart holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Studies from the University of Maryland and has dedicated years of volunteer service to the Frederick community. She is a founding member of Women, Inspiring, Supporting & Helping (W.I.S.H.) and Par For A Cause: A Charity Golf Challenge. Sweigart currently volunteers with the Mental Health Association of Frederick County and is a member of Key City Rotary.

In her role as Executive Director, Sweigart will focus on building new partnerships and initiatives to raise awareness and financial support for the growing tech community in Frederick. She will also work to expand the techfrederick network and engage with stakeholders to support the organization's mission.
