Technology Industry Titans Converge at Avasant Foundation's Golf for Impact in Support of Youth Education and Empowerment

LOS ANGELES, March 26, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Avasant Foundation is proud to have hosted its sixth annual Golf for Impact fundraiser. Together, technology industry leaders have raised $250,000 towards the expansion of Avasant Foundation's mission in youth empowerment through education and job creation in developing countries.

The Foundation hosted executives from more than 30 leading technology firms at one of California's premier golf venues, Hacienda Golf Club. The tournament enjoyed a sizeable turnout and was followed by a gala reception where attendees learned more about the Foundation and its growing platform.

At the reception, Chitra Rajeshwari, Executive Director of the Avasant Foundation, noted, "The impact we have on the lives of our students is why we are so committed to creating these opportunities in emerging markets. The skills training programs help develop the entrepreneurial and technical skills for our students who otherwise would not have an opportunity to participate in the digital economy. Partnering with local technology providers to give our students access to sustainable career paths has empowered not only our students but their communities, creating multiplier effects within disadvantaged trenches."
