This event series offers emerging entrepreneurs in Hartford the best of both worlds: content developed by those who are committed to our community and the ability to tap into Techstars’ global network of expertise.
HARTFORD, Conn. (PRWEB) October 08, 2020
Techstars Startup Week Hartford, a celebration of entrepreneurs and innovators throughout greater Hartford, was initially slated to be held in late March. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, however, the free five-day event cosponsored by Launch[H]artford and Techstars will now instead be held in a fully virtual format, October 19th through 23rd.
Techstars Startup Week Hartford will tap into the power of innovation to empower the entrepreneurial community throughout Hartford. The first-of-its-kind event in Hartford is designed for both seasoned and first-time entrepreneurs, as well as community members, to connect in ways that bring new possibilities and projects to life, and to launch programs that link industry experts with technology pioneers. Through a series of networking events, expert-led seminars, and creativity workshops, Techstars Startup Week Hartford aims to connect the next wave of talent to a whole new set of career opportunities in Hartford.
Attendees can participate in as many, or as few, of the virtual sessions as desired during the five-day virtual conference. The sessions will provide engaging content along with the opportunity to network with thousands of entrepreneurs, investors and industry leaders.

“Launc[H] is proud to sponsor the very first Startup Week Hartford. This event series offers emerging entrepreneurs in Hartford the best of both worlds: content developed by those who are committed to our community and the ability to tap into Techstars’ global network of expertise. Hartford has a strong history of innovation, and what’s ahead of us is perhaps the most exciting yet,” said Michelle Cote, director of Launch[H]artford. “Events like these help to strengthen our community’s position as the fastest-growing hub of innovation on the East Coast.”
Roughly 40 speakers from the community will join seven "track captains" who are charged with developing the educational content and virtual community meet-ups for various industry sectors.
The Techstars Startup Week Hartford track captains, participating based on their deep ties within Hartford's entrepreneurial community, include: Eric Brown of CBIA, Sarah Bodley of reSET, Christopher Day of First Line Consulting, Nathan Eusko of Verti Insurance, Laura Dinan Haber of Nassau Financial Group, Jeffrey Orszak of CONNSTEP, and Alice Margie Turner of Urban Tekk, LLC.
"I've really enjoyed helping to bring Startup Week to Hartford,” said Nathan Eusko, Track Captain and Head of Programming for the event. “Our team has put a lot of effort into developing a quality and diverse event for our Hartford community. Startup Week Hartford is a great opportunity to cross-pollinate across our community’s known industry verticals, as well as connect and learn from other leaders throughout the Hartford ecosystem."
Techstars Startup Week Hartford partners include Launc[H], Hartford’s innovation community leader, and Stanley Black & Decker, which serves as a Techstars partner through the STANLEY + Techstars Accelerator.
Startup Week Hartford builds upon Techstars' growing history of working in the Hartford community and its commitment to advancing manufacturing, sustainability, and entrepreneurship through the STANLEY + Techstars Accelerator. In October 2019, the accelerator held a Demo Day event featuring founders of 10 innovative companies, which drew nearly 500 attendees. Governor Ned Lamont, Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin and Stanley Black & Decker CEO Jim Loree were among the speakers at the widely-attended event.
