Telemedicine Solutions and Mobile Care Chicago Deploy App for Children with Asthma
Telemedicine Solutions and Mobile Care Chicago have partnered together to improve care for children with asthma via MyHealthCoach, a clinical app launched with patients in a pilot phase this month.
CHICAGO, Aug. 29, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Mobile Care Chicago and Telemedicine Solutions have partnered together to improve care for children with asthma. The app will begin a pilot phase this month, then receive a wider release in January 2020. Asthma is currently the most common chronic illness affecting children in low-income areas. It is estimated that over 25% of children struggle with asthma in some Chicago neighborhoods.
MyHealthCoach is a mobile health coaching application which allows patients to easily track tasks associated with disease control, such as medication schedules and healthy habit changes. The app includes additional functionality for families to communicate directly with their medical provider, request medication refills, complete health assessment tests to track their level of disease control, and initiate telehealth appointments. Telemedicine Solutions will use Mobile Care Chicago's 20 years of experience in allergy and asthma management to build custom tools for chronic respiratory illnesses.
