Telportus unveils its Live Virtual Tour platform
Telportus has released its Virtual Tour Platform beginning with four regional partners. The initial release comprises six compelling curated experiences
SEATTLE, Dec. 1, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Faced with shrinking options for physical travel due to restrictions imposed by the pandemic, travelers, tour operators, guides and destinations are looking for alternate ways to connect around travel. For travelers, while the ability to hop on a plane and visit destinations have dwindled, there is now an online option to engage with local guides to forge new memories and stimulate the senses, while dipping their toe into a new travel destination from the safety of their home. With Telportus, they can now pick from one of several regional experiences and connect with local experts while they are taken on a virtual adventure. Even though the experiences are remote and online, it is an opportunity to take in the culture, sights and sounds of a destination they hope to visit someday, or relive the nostalgia of a past excursion.
For tour operators, Telportus not only provides a much-needed opportunity for revenue, but also helps bolster the pipeline of future customers once COVID fades into history. With the availability of high speed mobile internet, they are now able to virtually take visitors from around the world through the sights, sounds, culture and customs of their own local site of interest. Telportus guides are chosen experts in their own areas, providing the same insights they would in person, now through a custom communications platform.
Since a Telportus experience relies on commodity technology that is prevalent in most regions of the world, Telportus prides itself in its careful selection of partners and experiences and only puts forth vetted experiences that are found to be compelling enough for wide audiences.
At launch, Telportus is showcasing six hand-picked experiences:
From Australia, the "Oakvale Australian Wildlife Encounters" and the immersive and hand-on "Anangu Dot Painting Workshop"
From Italy, the "Wanna Be Italiano" cooking class
From Spain, the "Gaudi.. Architectural Barcelona" and "Spanish Olive Culture"
From India, "Agra: A city of love, Art and Stories and the Taj Mahal"
Additional partners and experiences will be added on an ongoing basis.
Prices are expected to range between 20 USD to 200 USD depending on the experience. Private tours are also available for anyone who would like to schedule one for a special occasion such as a birthday or a watch party with their travel friends.
