Telrad is proud to announce full interoperability between its innovative LTE fixed wireless solutions and three leading Spectrum Access System (SAS) management providers: Federated Wireless, CommScope and Google.

This exciting cooperation will enable wireless internet service providers (WISPs), mobile network operators (MNOs) and enterprise private networks to leverage all the potential of the emerging Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS).

By keeping interference to a minimum within this designated band of the 3.5GHz shared spectrum, WISPs, MNOs and enterprises will be able to provide reliable and affordable fixed wireless broadband services. It will also open the possibility for enterprises to upgrade their networks to run over high-speed LTE in a cost-effective way.

"Telrad's interoperable LTE platform for SAS management, the BreezeCOMPACT1000, provides a software-based path to this much-needed additional spectrum. This creates an opportunity to further improve network quality, density and non-line-of-sight performance," said Telrad Director of Sales Alex Freylekhman.

"Furthermore, it introduces the option to deliver higher-tier packages, including 100/20Mbps. We're naturally very excited about this development and are looking forward to advancing the commercialization of the CBRS band together with our SAS partners Federated Wireless, CommScope and Google."

Telrad Networks is a global provider of radically innovative fixed broadband wireless access (BWA) solutions. The company stands at the forefront of the fixed wireless industry, offering operators LTE cost-optimized configurations, lower total cost of ownership, excellent NLOS capabilities and higher throughput.

Federated Wireless
“Providing high-performance, high-availability fixed wireless access in rural communities is one of the key drivers for development and proliferation of shared spectrum CBRS services,” said Federated Wireless CEO Iyad Tarazi. “We are extremely pleased to integrate our Spectrum Controller into the Telrad CBRS solution. Telrad is a solid partner and leading provider of low-cost LTE services in communities where broadband coverage is needed most.”

CommScope
“Completion of interoperability verification between CommScope’s SAS and Telrad’s CBRS solution is especially timely given that CommScope’s SAS has just been approved by the FCC for initial commercial deployment (ICD),” said Chris Hardy, vice president of CommScope’s Comsearch division. “We look forward to working with our key CBRS equipment manufacturing partners, such as Telrad, on successful deployments and providing excellent customer service to their network operator end-users.”

Google
"We are thrilled about this week's start of Initial Commercial Deployment in CBRS," said Dave Vadasz, Business Development lead at Google’s Wireless Services group, "By working closely with industry leaders in LTE like Telrad, we’re helping operators and enterprises unlock CBRS spectrum to deliver broadband Internet service to more people in more places."

Telrad will be demonstrating these and other products and solutions at WISPALOOZA, October 15-17, at the Rio Convention Center in Las Vegas, Booth #225.
