SELECTED SUSTAINABILITY LEADER AWARD WINNER PERSPECTIVES
"To me, sustainability is a passion, not only a profession. Knowing I'm doing something good for people and planet is what gets me up every morning, and that is a great feeling." - former Global Sustainable Sourcing Lead, Oatly
"Thank you very much for highlighting the role of sustainability leadership! We will keep going, for a more sustainable (business) world." - Friederike Neugebauer, Sustainability Strategy Project Leader, Bosch
"I am honored by this recognition of EcoServ and our entire team," said Dale Ewing, founder of EcoServ, a scalable circular decommission program for the built environment developed by InstallNET, a leading commercial furniture solutions company. "Our mission is to be a catalyst for circularity through partnerships that deliver credible solutions that address the problems of waste and climate change. Since 2012, EcoServ has diverted more than 13,000 metric tons of waste from landfills and donated free furniture, fixtures, and equipment to almost 2,800 community groups ranging from domestic violence shelters to colleges and police stations."
"A better and sustainable future isn't impossible. Engineering can provide us ways to make it happen. Technology, in this case, can be an inspiration, not a limitation." - Daanvir Dhir, Senior Director, Engineering & Sustainability, Pela
"I share this honour with my colleagues at Kruger Products who have been part of our journey to shrink our environmental footprint while continuing to grow across North America," said Steven Sage, Vice President, Sustainability. "Our formal journey began more than a decade ago and since then we've made great progress by introducing innovative technology at our plants to help reduce our GHG emissions and energy consumption, earned third-party certification for our fibre, and continue to partner with organizations to protect our environment. With that said, however, we recognize there is always more to do!"
