Veteran ad executive to accelerate purpose-led transformation as the industry demands more safety and transparency across programmatic advertising

“As marketers, we talk about the importance of purpose-led brands, but there are very few purpose-led technologies. That’s why I’m thrilled to be joining TRUSTX,” said Walter.

TRUSTX, the advertising industry's only purpose-driven, premium publisher-owned programmatic marketplace, today announced that Terri Walter has joined the company as Chief Growth Officer.

“As marketers, we talk about the importance of purpose-led brands, but there are very few purpose-led technologies. That’s why I’m thrilled to be joining TRUSTX,” said Walter. “The advertising industry needs complete trust and transparency in media trading. TRUSTX is the only B-Corporation in programmatic advertising that was purpose-built to ensure transparency and a sustainable future for quality media. I’m excited about how we can change the industry for the better.”

In a newly-created role based in TRUSTX’s New York headquarters, Walter will lead marketing, thought leadership and business development for the company. She reports to David Kohl, TRUSTX President & CEO, working collaboratively with Kohl to drive the industry conversation forward and steward the next chapter of growth for the programmatic marketplace and its premium publisher members.

“Terri is joining TRUSTX at a time when agencies and brands are looking much more carefully at how their digital advertising investments find their way through the programmatic supply-chain,” said Kohl. “Terri has a long track record of driving transformational change in the media industry. At this pivotal moment, when demand for more clarity and higher standards is accelerating, Terri is incredibly well positioned to bring media buyers and sellers closer together in the name of trust, transparency and safety. We are excited to have her on board.”

Terri brings a breadth of marketing experience to TRUSTX through executive roles at Microsoft, Razorfish, PubMatic and Chartbeat. Her addition to the TRUSTX leadership team advances it’s mission-driven focus on rebuilding trust across the programmatic supply-chain.

Founded in September 2016 by thirty-five premium content publishers, TRUSTX exists for the singular purpose of building a more sustainable future for trusted advertising. TRUSTX is a public benefit corporation (B-Corp) that is wholly-owned by the premium publisher trade organization, Digital Content Next (DCN). This structure eliminates any intermediary profit motivation and exit strategy bias, enabling TRUSTX to seek only tangible, long-term economic benefits for high-quality advertisers, their agencies and premium content publishers, while concurrently balancing the needs and expectations of digital content and advertising audiences.

Backed by some of the world’s most trusted media brands, including CBSi, ESPN, Meredith, FOX News and NBCUniversal, TRUSTX is a cooperative private marketplace laser-focused on restoring trust, transparency and safety to programmatic advertising. With TRUSTX, advertisers can source high-quality media with confidence, while publishers can earn programmatic ad revenues commensurate with the quality of content and audiences they deliver.

Media buyers who participate in the TRUSTX marketplace enjoy a 100% brand-safe, professional news, sports and entertainment content environment, coupled with the industry’s highest standards for programmatic trading:

  •     100% human and viewable supply
  •     No fees from within the media supply-chain, maximizing buying power
  •     100% trading transparency down to the publisher and advertiser URL
  •     100% financial transparency from bid to delivery, reporting and billing
  •     The only B-Corporation in programmatic advertising, purpose-built and mission-driven
