CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 15, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Task Force X Capital (TFX), a veteran-led and service driven venture capital firm, today announced the addition of a new venture partner and four new strategic advisors, all adding deep expertise, experience and networks to the firm as it continues growth in 2022. Leveraging the firm's proven investment strategy of backing former military and national security leaders that are advancing B2B technology solutions, TFX Capital is in a period of significant growth that will build on its existing portfolio of companies that continue to excel and realize successful exits.
Joining TFX Capital as a Venture Partner and participant on the Investment Committee is Brent Blake, an accomplished investment professional with experience growing and guiding technology companies. He joins existing Venture Partner Matt Abrams, alongside Managing Partner Brandon Shelton and Partner Kevin Eckert. All Partners share in the firm's service-led approach, driven by prior experience in military and national security roles, and are uniquely positioned to translate and break down barriers for high-performing and commercially tested military veteran entrepreneurs that seek growth capital and guidance in navigating commercial expansion.
"Many people I have met support the veteran community in spirit and stop there. TFX takes supporting service driven veteran leaders several magnitudes further. Being military veterans ourselves at TFX, we know the qualities of a veteran leader and we believe they have a unique pedigree that will enable them to persevere through start-up challenges and lead successful companies at a greater rate than traditional founders," said Blake. "I joined TFX as a Venture Partner because I believe that TFX is more than a VC firm, it is also a community that prides itself on elevating everyone around them. I look forward to contributing to the successes of both TFX and the service driven veteran leaders they support."
"Our leading strength as a firm has always been our people: the people we support and those that support us," said Shelton. "We believe the best entrepreneurs and leaders are those who have served, and we are excited to have these exceptional individuals join us and contribute their expertise in this next chapter of TFX."
In addition, TFX Capital is pleased to expand its Strategic Advisory Board to include a roster of highly accomplished, proven strategic investors to match the firm's growth and support it provides to its investment portfolio.
- Rob Ackerman, General Partner, Founder's Equity Partners
- Matt Bigge, General Partner, Crosslink Capital
- Brian Pope, Vice President of Corporate Development, Passport
- Heather Richman, Founder, Defense Investor Network
"As both a Veteran and an experienced technology investor, I immediately recognized the importance of TFX's platform to founders who are scaling their businesses," said Ackerman. "Having watched and engaged with TFX for years, I am now incredibly excited to join in their mission as an advisor and be part of this next phase of growth."

I've been able to watch the firm's development over the past few years and have been super impressed with their ability to move the needle of success with their portfolio companies," said Bigge. "I look forward to working with the TFX team and my fellow advisors as the firm grows and continues to excel."

"We share a mutual passion for supporting technology entrepreneurs, especially service driven leaders that are tackling impactful challenges with durable solutions, and I look forward to coordinating with the TFX team and advisors to bring together an impressive set of experience and knowledge beneficial to portfolio companies."
