MIAMI, April 24, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Venezuelan singer José Luis Rodríguez, "El Puma," who successfully underwent a double lung transplant in December 2017, recently announced a 20-city tour in the United States beginning in May 2019. The announcement alone is impressive but when you consider El Puma, renowned for decades as one of the greatest idols of the Latin American stage, recently turned 76, the rigorous event is even more remarkable.
El Puma's journey and survival are inspirational and possible as a result of two factors: advances in research for cell regeneration in the use of medicine and the stellar performance of his quality medical team.
In 2000, Rodríguez was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis, a chronic disease that causes progressive scarring of the lungs and impedes breathing. "It's an incurable disease, and requires a transplant," he recalls. The wait for the double lung transplant, the only possibility for a cure and survival, occurred under complicated circumstances during which time his quality of life and respiratory capacity significantly deteriorated.
In 2017, at the age of 74 and having withstood more than a decade-plus of suffering, El Puma continued to fight while waiting for a donor. Aware of his worsening condition and motivated by a 20-year friendship, pharmaceutical entrepreneur Raimundo Santamarta offered El Puma a new dietary supplement containing Glutathione (a molecule of natural origin that occurs within the cells which acts as a powerful antioxidant) that he formulated, confident it would allow his friend to continue enduring the long wait for surgical intervention. "I thank God for this miracle, my family, the donor, doctors, my wife and my friend Raimundo, who was instrumental to me. One day he came to my house offering a product to help me while I waited for my transplant. He promised me that in taking his formula I would be able to continue to fight until the day my donor came through. He developed a product that greatly helped my immune system," reveals Rodríguez, referring to the process that led to the success of the double lung transplant. The transplant performed by the medical team at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami later that year saved his life and made headline news worldwide.
With more than 42 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Santamarta, the owner of a pharmaceutical lab in the United States, has dedicated years in perfecting a series of formulas based on Glutathione to boost one's health from the body's own cells.
Recently, Santamarta announced the launch of his first line of products, named GlutaDose, in the market at pricing accessible to all.
"Agradecido Tour 2019" (translated to "grateful"), the name of the upcoming tour, will celebrate José Luis Rodríguez's recovery and return to the stage. "I am overwhelmed with emotion every time I think about the start of my new tour. The #AgradecidoTour promises to be the most wonderful of my life's experiences on stage, as it signifies a reunion for me with [my fans] and the celebration of the miracle of life."
