NEW YORK, Oct. 7, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Vanguard Network today announced that its General Counsel members will come together for their annual Forum on one of the most important topics facing business today: ESG.
Unlike the plethora of other programs on ESG that focus on the "what" and the "how," the Vanguard Forum will instead look at the role of General Counsels as leaders and decision-makers on this critical corporate strategy.
Topics will range from ethical dilemmas GCs must address around making ESG commitments into the future, to leading Board dialogues on ESG issues, to balancing priorities around the multiple components of ESG.
"In just over a year, ESG has moved from the back burner for General Counsels, to the front burner - and it will be staying there," said Ken Banta, founder and principal of The Vanguard Network. "Of all the C-Suite Leaders, the GC is arguably the most qualified to lead these initiatives."
General Counsels are among the most active members of the The Vanguard Network, convening regularly for candid, confidential discussions with their peers. The October 13 - 14 Forum is open to Vanguard members. Other GCs can request an invitation and learn more about membership at https://bit.ly/GC2021_1013linkedin
The Forum is one of an array of membership benefits of the Vanguard Network, which organizes events, publishes content and connects C-suite leaders.
