The Hennessy Group Announces Rare Disease Leadership Placements at Amicus Therapeutics and Eloxx Pharmaceuticals

Eloxx Pharmaceuticals has selected Dan Crawford to serve as its Principal Scientist for Pharmacology and Translational Sciences. Dr. Crawford holds a Ph.D. in neuroscience from USC and has previously worked as a research and senior scientist with Vertex Pharmaceuticals and the EMD Serono Research and Development Institute. In his role with Eloxx, Dr. Crawford will focus his responsibilities on model-based drug development. Eloxx Pharmaceuticals, Ltd., is a global biopharmaceutical company with its U.S. headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts. Maria Alba, MD, will join the team at Amicus Therapeutics as the firm's Executive Director of Pompe Clinical Research. Prior to joining Amicus, Dr. Alba was Senior Director of Clinical Research for Cardiovascular and Metabolism at Janssen R&D, and began her commercial life sciences career as Director of Clinical Research-Metabolism at Merck. With Amicus, Dr. Alba will drive the global development strategy and execution of the firm's Pompe program, including drug development strategy, clinical study design, and participation in the regulatory process.
