The History of the Future on Display at SAE International's WCX World Congress Experience
The SAE Mobility History Committee's "History of the Future" vehicle display, during the 2019 WCX World Congress Experience, will highlight important technologies of the past that have contributed to our automotive present and our current visions for the future of mobility.
DETROIT, April 1, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The SAE Mobility History Committee's "History of the Future" vehicle display, during the 2019 WCX World Congress Experience, will highlight important technologies of the past that have contributed to our automotive present and our current visions for the future of mobility.
This is the second year the committee will be exploring innovation history under this banner. Last year the Mobility History Committee brought the history of autonomy to Cobo Center with their extremely popular "The History of the Future: The Road to Autonomy" display.
This year the committee will attempt to match the success of their initial outing with "The History of the Future: Powering the Cars of Tomorrow." This display will take a look back at the potential futures of the past, and the reasons why our ideas of power have changed over the last two centuries.
From the cutting-edge steam cars of the early days to the more recent moves back to electric take a walk through the history of power and learn more about the events that have brought us to our present ideas on the future of mobility.
Visit the History of the Future at the Mobility History Booth #2301 and then join us on Thursday, April 11 for presentations about the history of mobility.
The Mobility History Presentations will take place on Apr 11 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Learning Lab on the Exhibit floor. MHC's featured presentations include:

SAE WCX 2019 takes place April 9 -11 at Cobo Center in Detroit.
