The Institutes Griffith Insurance Education Foundation Names 2019 Leadership Council Chair and Vice Chair
The Institutes Griffith Insurance Education Foundation announced Rob McDade, JD, CPCU, CLU, as the 2019 Leadership Council chair and John Smith, CPCU, CRM, CIC, as vice chair. Both men assumed their roles on January 1.
MALVERN, Pa., Jan. 14, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Institutes Griffith Insurance Education Foundation announced Rob McDade, JD, CPCU, CLU, as the 2019 Leadership Council chair and John Smith, CPCU, CRM, CIC, as vice chair. Both men assumed their roles on January 1.
McDade is vice president of Agency Operations for COUNTRY Financial, a company that serves about 1 million households and businesses throughout the United States. In this role, he oversees a team that both supports nearly 2,000 multiline agents with recruiting, training, compensation, analytics and administrative services and supports complementary channels and solutions.
McDade previously held other roles for COUNTRY, including vice president of Customer Service, vice president of Financial & Brokerage Solutions and Vice President of Trust Services. He has also been an attorney with the Office of the General Counsel for the Illinois Farm Bureau and served as director and chair of the IAA Credit Union Board of Directors.
McDade continues to serve on advisory boards for the Illinois State University College of Business and College of Arts & Sciences and served as vice chair of The Griffith Foundation Leadership Council before Smith assumed this role. As the 2019 vice chair, Smith brings important perspective gained as president and CEO of the Pennsylvania Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Company, where he's served for nearly 15 years.
