NEW YORK, June 6, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Today, the Katz School of Science and Health (Katz) at Yeshiva University launched two innovative online graduate degrees: a Master of Science in Data Analytics and Visualization and a Master of Science in Digital Marketing and Media. The programs build on the academic caliber of Yeshiva University, a Top 100 US News & World Report and a Top 50 Forbes Northeast University; the deep technical and entrepreneurial expertise of the Katz School; and the flexibility and global reach of the best in online education.
Through forward-looking curriculum, both Katz degree offerings will build students' in-demand knowledge while introducing them to cutting-edge tools and emerging strategies.
The online MS in Digital Marketing and Media focuses on essential marketing, media, and communication skills while providing hands-on experience through in-demand digital, social and mobile tools and techniques. The Master's in Data Analytics and Visualization will teach students to transform raw data into insightful output, build data solutions and products, conduct predictive and exploratory analyses, and create compelling visualizations and data narratives. Unique to Katz, and unlike traditional data analytics programs, students will gain hands-on experience with AI and machine learning.
Founding faculty in both programs are top leaders and entrepreneurs in their fields who bring rich corporate, research, and start-up experiences into the classroom. Andy Catlin, founding Director of the MS in Data Analytics and Visualization, is an entrepreneurial data scientist who focuses on helping groups of organizations in the same market space create value from data-driven collective intelligence. He has built and co-founded successful startups in business intelligence and management analytics, and his customers have included Union Bank of Switzerland, Nestle, the National Football League, Reuters, and Microsoft.
Similarly, Dr. Maria Blekher, Director of the MS in Digital Marketing and Media, is the founder of Made In Israel, an online educational platform that connects the American Jewish community to Israeli businesses and brands. Dr. Blekher also founded YU's Innovation Lab which provides students access to top professionals and entrepreneurs from Israel's Startup Nation. Through the Innovation Lab, students can partner with startups to help design data products and develop marketing strategies or pitch and gain support for projects of their own.
"We are excited to offer these two cutting-edge programs, which also provide students access to leading practitioners, thought leaders, expert faculty, and hands-on experience with the Israeli Startup community through our Innovation Lab," said Paul Russo, PhD, Dean of the Katz School and Vice Provost at Yeshiva University.
The Katz School is launching both programs with the support of Noodle Partners, the fastest growing online program manager (OPM), committed to innovative online education. "We are honored that Yeshiva University's Katz School of Science and Health has selected us to help launch these two very significant online graduate programs in data analytics and digital marketing," said Noodle Partners CEO John Katzman.
Dean Paul Russo also offered, "The partnership with Noodle Partners allows us to engage students across the globe and provide them with market-ready skills."
The two programs are now open for admission, with the first cohorts beginning in Fall 2019.
