Published by The Label, The Legend of Bum-bo is free for Google Play Pass subscribers and available for $14.99 as a premium mobile game for Android users.
The puzzle-based deck building rogue-like prequel to The Binding of Isaac features a cardboard coin hoarding character, "Bum-Bo the Brave." When Bum-bo's only coin is stolen by a mysterious entity and pulled down into the sewer, Bum-bo finds himself facing droves of deranged enemies, lost children, his fears, and eventually the beast that stole his beloved coin. The game tells the tale of everything that happened in the universe Isaac lived in before his arrival.
The match four puzzle system is presented with an overarching theme of greed and a bit of toilet humor. Once a successful match is made, mana is granted. The strategic turn-based system lets players use items and cast a number of spells in battle in order to defeat the dungeon's enemies and progress through the levels.
The Legend of Bum-bo is the sole Ed McMillen-developed game currently available on the Android platform.
