SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass., Sept. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The New England Center for Children® (NECC®), a global leader in education and research for children with autism, announced today the election of Elizabeth Wetherbee Klein to the Board of Directors. Mrs. Klein is a marketing consultant, volunteer and mother of three children.

Mrs. Klein has chaired the annual Children of Promise Gala (http://www.necc.org/gala) Host Committee the past two years, helping the event reach new heights in fundraising, outreach, and style.

Mrs. Klein's business career was spent in marketing, relationship management and product development. Prior to starting her own consulting practice, Mrs. Klein spent sixteen years leading marketing teams in the investment industry, most recently as SVP of Informa Financial Intelligence, a division of UK-based Informa PLC. Mrs. Klein is actively involved in education, nonprofits and fundraising. She has served on the Advisory Council for Southborough Public Schools, is currently on the board of the Southborough Community Fund and is a UMass Medicine Development Council member. She was a fundraiser for both the Lori Lajoie Golf Tournament, benefitting Worcester's The Seven Hills Foundation, and the Congenital Heart Walk Boston Gala. A Concord, MA native and graduate of Syracuse University, Mrs. Klein lives in Southborough with her husband David and their three children.
