The Pun Group Managing Partner Kenneth H. Pun Named Chair of CalCPA Governmental Accounting and Auditing Committee

SANTA ANA, Calif., Oct. 24, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Kenneth H. Pun, the founder and managing partner of the Orange County-based The Pun Group Accountants & Advisors, has been named chair of the Governmental Accounting and Auditing Committee by the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for the 2018–2020 term. In this position, he will provide guidance to CPAs about governmental accounting and auditing, hold meetings to review emerging accounting issues in the field, and perform outreach to local governments and CPAs.

As chair, Pun will work to further the committee mission to "participate in the profession's effort to improve the quality of financial reporting on governmental entities by providing practical guidance to CPAs in the area of governmental accounting and auditing."

In service of that goal, Pun will convene the committee three times a year to review emerging accounting issues surrounding governmental industry and to issue recommendations for dealing with those issues.

In addition, he will perform outreach to local governments and introduce the benefits of CalCPA memberships.
